VerityList Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice explains what information VerityList (“VerityList,” “we,” or “us”) collects when you use veritylist.com and our services (the “Service”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this notice.
1. Information you provide
When you submit a listing, we collect the information you enter: the app name, platform, description, revenue figures, asking price, an optional store URL, your contact email and optional phone number, your reason for selling, and any screenshots or revenue-proof images you upload. When you contact a seller, we collect your name, email, and message. When you join the early-access list, we collect your email address and whether you identified as a buyer or seller. We also collect the content of any message you send us.
2. Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, our infrastructure processes standard technical data such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, and request logs. We use your IP address to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse, and we do not retain it in a directly identifiable form. Our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses in routine server and security logs.
3. Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and handles your card details directly under its own privacy terms; VerityList receives only payment identifiers and status, such as whether a charge succeeded, and never your full card number.
4. How we use information
We use information to review and publish listings; relay buyer inquiries to sellers; send operational emails such as confirmations, approval notices, and buyer messages; process the listing fee and related billing events; detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, spam, and abuse; operate, secure, and improve the Service; and comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
5. What is public and what stays private
Only the approved display fields of a published listing are shown publicly. Your seller email, phone number, private revenue-proof files, and internal review files are never shown on public pages. When a buyer contacts you, we relay the message to your private email; the buyer’s email is shared with you so you can reply, but your email is not revealed to the buyer unless you choose to respond.
6. Bot protection
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our forms from automated abuse. To verify that you are not a bot, Cloudflare may process limited technical signals, including your IP address and browser characteristics, under Cloudflare’s privacy terms.
7. Service providers we share with
We share information only with the providers that operate the Service: Neon (application database), Vercel (hosting and private file storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and Cloudflare (bot protection). Each processes data only to provide its service to us. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or cross-site trackers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of VerityList or others.
8. Cookies and tracking
We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics. Cloudflare Turnstile and our infrastructure may set strictly necessary cookies to operate and secure the Service. Because we do not track you across other websites, there is no cross-site tracking to opt out of.
9. Data retention
Unpaid listing submissions and their uploaded files are scheduled for automatic deletion after a short holding window: abandoned uploads within about a day, and unpaid submissions within about seven days. Paid listing, email, payment, and review records are retained as long as needed to operate the marketplace, meet legal and tax obligations, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes, after which they are deleted or de-identified.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, including encrypting data in transit, restricting access to personal information, storing uploaded files privately, and monitoring for and blocking abuse. We also limit the information we collect and how long we retain it. No system is perfectly secure, so while we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your choices and rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by replying to any VerityList email you have received from us, and you can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data and to object to certain processing, and we honor these where they apply. Legal, tax, or security obligations may require us to retain some records after a request.
12. Children
The Service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Where information is processed
Our providers operate primarily in the United States, and your information may be processed there. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
14. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the Service evolves. When we make a material change, we will post the updated notice on this page. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised notice.
15. Contact
For any privacy question, or to make an access, correction, or deletion request, reply to any VerityList email you have received from us.
